Herbed chaffles

Tips to get you started:

· This recipe cooks up nicely in a standard waffle iron.

· Fine shredded cheese makes for a better texture.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 2-3 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

½ Cup finely shredded mozzarella

2 large eggs

1 Teaspoon dried oregano

¼ Teaspoon granulated garlic

Dash of ground black pepper

Dash of sea salt

Part one: Preheat waffle iron.

Part two: In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients well.

Part three: Pour mixture into the center of the waffle iron and close the iron. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until nicely browned and cooked through. Serve.

Serving suggestion: I use this chaffle as a low carb substitute for bread for an Italian turkey “grinder” type sandwich.
